Plot : While investigating a hostage situation at a chemical plant in Gotham, Batman finds clues that lead him to the conclusion that The Demon’s Head, Ra’s al Ghul, has returned. Not the least of these is the presence of his daughter, Talia. But Ra’s was not behind the attack on the plant. That was planned by a nihilistic terrorist called Qayin, who has a history with the Demon’s Head.Both Ra’s and Batman are concerned that Qayin’s plot may have global ramifications that could imperil the Earth, so the two decide to join forces at Batman takes his place as Ra’s’ son-in-law. (Ra’s had declared that Bruce and Talia were wed, and by their customs the bride’s consent is all the ritual that is required.) But when Talia reveals that she is pregnant, Batman tells Ra’s that he is done with the fight. He wants to give their child all the happiness and love that fate had denied him. Is this the end of the Dark Knight?
